About Us

Olivia qualified as an A.M.I. Montessori Directress in 1972 and has been teaching ever since, running her own school in Monkstown since September 1977. Married with three grown up children Olivia has a wide range of interests both in her involvement in the local community and more broadly in the arts, music and the environment. She enjoys walks by the sea and in the mountains and is an all year round swimmer in the sea near her home. Cooking is another big interest. She is currently enjoying a part time Masters programme in Ecology and Religion and is seldom idle or bored!

Olivia has served on the national committee of the Association of A.M.I. Montessori Teachers of Ireland and has always taken an active role in promoting the development of A.M.I. Montessori in Ireland. She also served on the Board of Management of St. Oliver Plunkett School in Monkstown, a school for children with learning difficulties, and has been involved with The Cottage Home for Little Children in Dunlaoghaire for many years
